Individual Programs
3. Individual Supervision Program
Supervision is a reflective dialogue facilitated by a professional, trained in an accredited supervision program and qualified as a supervisor. It is a reflective practice designed to ensure that the supervisee is delivering their best work in the service of their clients, organizations and stakeholders.
Both professional bodies, the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) consider supervision a crucial aspect of professional development.
The ICF describes supervision as "a collaborative learning practice to continually build the capacity of the coach through reflective dialogue for the benefit of both coaches and clients".
Similarly, the EMCC defines it as "a safe space for reflective dialogue with a practicing supervisor, supporting the supervisee’s practice, development, and well-being." Additionally, the EMCC views supervision as "a form of professional support for the practitioner that occurs separately from interactions with the client. It is primarily a dialogue about their practice, providing an opportunity to reflect on and make sense of actual client encounters."
In our supervision conversation you will have the opportunity to look at your work from any or all of the following three perspectives:
normative – you as an ethical practitioner, following your professional standards,
formative - the impact that you, as a person, have on your professional role (coach/ mentor/ supervisor/ leader) and
restorative – the impact of your work on yourself, as human being.
My role is to accompany you on your reflective journey, striking a balance between providing support and posing challenges, helping you uncover hidden areas and progress in your work with clarity and focus.
Through supervision, you will develop into a more innovative, resourceful, and resilient professional coach, executive/leader, or entrepreneur.
Individual Supervision sessions
6 sessions/ year; 1 hour/ session
In this process we will meet on a one-on-one basis, on zoom conference
For practitioners working towards accreditation, EMCC Global requires candidates to use individual supervision because it guarantees personalized attention on the practitioner.
ICF Credential-holders may submit up to 10 hours of Coaching Supervision (delivering or receiving) as Core Competency Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units toward their credential renewal.
